PAVE QSE Domain 2: Veterinary Medicine by System Guide
Veterinary Medicine by System is the largest domain in the AAVSB's 2027 Qualifying Science Examination (QSE) outline: 93 of the 155 questions listed, or 60% of the exam. It is organized into nine body-system subcategories, and its full title says what each question can ask about a disease: "Including Pathology, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Prevention". If you study this domain well, across all the species seen in North American practice, you have covered most of the exam. Our QSE practice questions mapped to the 2027 outline are tagged by body system so you can test each one as you go.
This page is part of our QSE study guide for 2027. Last verified against the AAVSB's Study for the QSE page on 6 October 2026. navleexam.com is not affiliated with AAVSB, AVMA, ICVA or PSI.
