NAVLE Exam Prep wants everyone preparing for a veterinary licensing examination to be able to use navleexam.com, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and we treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build the site.
What we do
- Pages are built with semantic HTML, headings and labelled form fields so that screen readers can navigate them.
- Text and background colours are chosen for contrast, and the site works with browser zoom up to 200% and on small screens.
- Questions, explanations and navigation can be used with a keyboard alone.
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- We review new features for accessibility before release and fix reported problems as a priority.
Known limitations
Some older study-guide images and third-party components (the payment form provided by Stripe, embedded video, and the cookie banner on some pages) may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working through these. Our content-protection measures disable text selection and right-click on question pages; if this interferes with your assistive technology, contact us and we will enable an accessible mode for your account.
Timed examinations and accommodations
If you receive extra time or other accommodations for your licensing examination, email us and we will adjust the timing of practice examinations on your account to match.
Tell us about a problem
If you have difficulty using any part of the site, email support@navleexam.com with the page address and a description of the problem and the assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 business days and to provide the information or function you need in an alternative form in the meantime.
