PAVE QSE Multi-System Diseases Review: High-Yield Guide
Multi-System is subcategory F of Domain 2 (Veterinary Medicine by System) in the AAVSB's 2027 Qualifying Science Examination (QSE) outline. The AAVSB does not define it, but the natural home for it is disease that does not belong to one organ: systemic infections such as leptospirosis, anthrax and BVD, toxicoses that damage several organs at once, and the foreign animal diseases every US veterinarian must recognize and report. This review groups those conditions by type and species, with the tests, treatments and prevention points that QSE-style questions tend to ask about.
This page is part of our Domain 2 guide to Veterinary Medicine by System. Clinical facts were checked against the Merck Veterinary Manual on 6 October 2026, and the outline against the AAVSB's Study for the QSE page. navleexam.com is not affiliated with AAVSB, AVMA, ICVA or PSI. If you want to drill these diseases as questions, our QSE practice questions are mapped to the 2027 outline.
What Belongs in Multi-System
Domain 2 has 93 of the 155 questions in the 2027 outline, split across nine subcategories. The AAVSB does not publish a count for each subcategory, and it gives no definition or disease list for Multi-System. Our working rule is simple: if a disease's key signs come from two or more body systems at once, and no single system "owns" it, study it here.
