QSE Anatomy, Behavior and Husbandry: High-Yield PAVE Review
Anatomy and Behavior and Husbandry are two of the nine subcategories in Foundations of Veterinary Medicine, the 54-question first domain of the 2027 AAVSB Qualifying Science Examination (QSE). Questions here reward comparative knowledge: how the same structure or normal value differs between a dog, a cow, a horse, a bird and a reptile. This review collects the high-yield comparisons into tables, explains why each one matters clinically, and ends with original practice questions.

Where These Subcategories Fit in the 2027 QSE
From the January 2027 exam date, the QSE content outline has three domains: Foundations of Veterinary Medicine (54 questions), Veterinary Medicine by System (93) and One Health and Professional Standards (8). Anatomy is subcategory A of Foundations and Behavior and Husbandry is subcategory B. The AAVSB lists only the subcategory titles. It does not publish a question count for each subcategory or a detailed topic list, so treat the content below as our judgment of what is high-yield, based on the outline and standard veterinary curricula.
