The NAVLE exam fee for the 2026–2027 testing cycle is $825 USD, up from $800 in 2025–2026. Most candidates also pay a $55 approval fee, and candidates testing outside the US and Canada pay an additional international testing fee, so the realistic minimum for one attempt is about $880 USD in North America and roughly $1,275 USD abroad, before prep courses, travel or licensing. NAVLE Exam Fees for 2026–2027 (ICVA)
The International Council for Veterinary Assessment (ICVA) sets the NAVLE fees. The figures below are for the 2026–2027 cycle, which covers the October–November 2026, March 2027 and July–August 2027 testing windows. Currency conversions use a rate of roughly USD 1 = CAD 1.36 = INR 84 as of September 2026; check the live rate before you pay, because your card issuer will convert at its own rate on the day.
