Which US Vet Schools Take PAVE ECE Students? (2026 List)
As of 6 October 2026, only two US veterinary schools have pages that say they currently take PAVE Evaluated Clinical Experience (ECE) candidates: the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Vet) and the University of Missouri. At least six other schools say on their own sites that they do not. Many schools publish nothing either way. Places open and close without notice, so use this page as a starting point and confirm with every school before you plan around it.
The ECE is the clinical year of PAVE. For the rules, forms and what the year involves, start with our complete guide to the PAVE ECE. If you have not passed the QSE yet, both open programs below require it, and our QSE practice questions mapped to the 2027 outline can help you get there.
How We Built This List
- We checked each school on its own website on 6 October 2026. A school is listed as accepting only if its own page says it takes PAVE or ECE candidates now.
- We did not rely on forum posts, older news stories or third-party lists. Several of those name schools that have since closed their programs.
- Where a school's page says it does not take PAVE candidates, we quote it, so you can see the exact wording.
- Where we found no statement on a school's site, we say nothing about it. Silence does not mean a school is open or closed. Ask it directly.
Availability changes. A school that is open today can stop taking applications, and a closed one can reopen. Always confirm current availability, deadlines and fees with each school before you apply, pay a deposit or make visa plans. navleexam.com is not affiliated with AAVSB, AVMA or any school listed here. We plan to recheck this list every quarter.
